Activity Trackers

Mental health | Physical Health | Mobile App

The Activity Trackers has been created to enable users to monitor both their physical and mental well-being. Users can select from a variety of available activities and personalise how they wish to monitor them and the frequency. There's a diverse selection of both relaxed and energetic activities to suit the user's liking. They can further customise the frequency at which they engage in these activities and set reminders for consistent participation.

My role: UX/UI Designer | Team: Design & Development | Tools: Figma

My process

  • Oxcare is a digital portal for supported self-management of physical health and mental wellbeing in South-East London and parts of Kent. It is for people of all ages who are or have previously been under the care of Oxleas.

In this specific project, my primary focus was on the UX/UI aspect. I was responsible for creating user stories and user flows and then incorporating the user research findings into the design process, ensuring a seamless interaction for users with the Activity Trackers. This involved utilising the Oxcare style guide and components to create the interface.

User flows

Based on the information that was collected during the initial planning of how the user will access and interact with the activity trackers, a user flow was created to illustrate the sequential process of a user adding a new activity.

Low-fidelity wireframes

Iterations in the low-fidelity wireframe development process were driven by the project's requirements. This iterative approach provided a comprehensive grasp of component placement and inter-section navigation, with colour schemes being addressed after these fundamental aspects were solidified.

The final outcome

With a combination of the initial planning and low-fidelity wireframes. the final designs were created using the brand guidelines and then presented to the stakeholders who then provided feedback.

The user can opt for a start date for tracking their selected activity. Additionally, they can determine whether to specify an end date for concluding their tracking of the activity.

The user can then set a target and customise how often they would like to carry out this activity. This will be reflected on the Activity tracker overview page where they will be able to see their daily, weekly or monthly target. They can also select how long they would like to spend on this activity by specifying the amount of minutes or hours.

The user can then set reminders and customise how often they would like to be reminded to carry out this activity. They will be sent these reminders to their email based on their selection.

If the user feels they would like to be more specific and feel that the default activities don’t suit them, there is an option available for them to add their own activity. They can input a new activity name and customise how they wish to monitor this particular activity.
